The style of this large, two-storey house evokes the past, yet is firmly anchored in the modern day. Complete soundproofing guarantees the quiet and privacy needed for relaxation. The guest rooms and all the common areas of the B&B are separate from the hosts’ private suite, which means guests have more freedom to come and go, and can feel quite at home. At the same time though, the hardwood floors, the arches and mouldings in various rooms, the country-style furnishings, the walls hung with paintings by recognized artists, and the careful decoration all serve as reminders that they are in a unique place.
All windows in the house can be opened to let in the fresh air coming off the river and get a good look at the beauty of the surrounding flora and fauna. Outdoors, in clearings under the trees around the house, areas for relaxation are arranged to blend perfectly with the natural environment.
Enhanced with works of art, plants, and large windows looking out over the river, the bistro-style dining room is furnished with small tables that are just right for sharing a morning coffee and enjoying the gourmet breakfasts prepared by the hosts. These delicious meals feature both local products from the Charlevoix region and in-house recipes. In summer, breakfast can also be enjoyed on the balcony of the ground floor overlooking the majestic St. Lawrence River and the Le Massif ski area.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 7:30 a.m. during winter.
Located on the ground floor of the B&B, the sitting room offers a warm, quiet and cosy atmosphere that is ideal for those times of relaxation and recovery that guests look forward to after a long day of outdoor or cultural activities. Books and magazines, a variety of games, a TV and a sound system are available for use by guests. In winter, having a drink in front of the wood fire crackling in the hearth is the perfect way to warm both toes and hearts!
The B&B has five guest bedrooms, all on the second floor. The rooms are soundproof, carefully and tastefully decorated, and each has a private bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet. They are all fully equipped with a Queen-size bed, bedside tables, an old-style cupboard (bonnetière) to hold personal effects, a reading nook, a hairdryer, both make-up and full-size mirrors, a Convectair heater, and a remote-controlled pedestal fan. The windows in all the bedrooms can be opened to let in the breeze coming off the river or the mountain. In addition, the high-quality beds and mattresses with their down-filled comforters and pillows will ensure that guests enjoy delightful nights and cozy mornings.
